Fourth Annual Program - Jawaharlal Darda Art Gallery, Nagpur



February 23, 2019- 4th Annual program of the portrait artists’ group was held on 23rd and 24th February in association with Jawaharlal Darda Art foundation at Jawaharlal Darda Art Gallery, Nagpur. This two days event started with lamp lighting and Inauguration by Chief guest Shri. Vijay Darda, Chairaman Editorial Board Lokmat, Group’s Founding Trustee and Artsit Vasudeo Kamath, Artsit Vijay Acharekar, Artist Abdul Gafar .

Inaugural Event - Sir, J J School of Art, Mumbai



Dec.30, 2014 - To launch the Portrait Artists Group, Ceremonial program took place at Sir J J School of Art at Mumbai. The packed corridor, with Art Students, Artists, Art Lovers and Art Critics to witness three Maestros painting simultaneous “Portraits in action”, reemphasized the interest of people in the Art of Portraiture and reaffirmed the hope for the bright future of Representational Art.

Inaugural Event - Sir, J J School of Art, Mumbai



Dec.31, 2014 - It was a learning opportunity to view twelve winners of the Online Portrait Competition as Finalists for the first “Portrait from Life Competition”. All worked with their chosen mediums in their own styles. While the finalists painted for the Competition, the Three Maestros delivered educative lectures on the history and scope of the art of Portraiture. The Vasudeo Kamath Grand prize and other awards were bestowed on the winners.

First Program - Pushpa Narsee Park, Vileparle, Mumbai



March 8, 2015 - The Second Online Bi-monthly Competition “Portrait from life in outdoor light” was declared in February, 2015. Founder Shri Vasudeo Kamath demonstrated for a Portrait in outdoor light to make aware the Artists for the methods for capturing the fleeting light and to use this outdoor painting experience for bridging the gap between the Society and Art at the Scenic garden in Juhu, Vileparle, Mumbai.

Second Program - Van Vihar, Borivali west, Mumbai



November 15, 2015- To create the awareness for Art and to benefit the citizens of Western Suburbs of Mumbai, for witnessing the Artist painting from life, Borivali Sanskrutik Kendra invited The Portrait Artists’ Group for a Demonstration at a lush green landscape created in the concrete jungle of Mumbai. Shri Vijay Achrekar, an artist maestro painted a portrait from life, which fascinated the artists and people present.
